The Young Connects is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Tracy, California. We connect people to the resources, programs, and opportunities already in our community, and we are the organization behind Tracy Connects.
Our story
For decades, Tracy has been called a bedroom community. Many residents drive out for work each morning and never get plugged in to the programs, services, and people right here in town. The COVID-19 pandemic pulled people even further apart.
In 2021, Mayor Nancy Young answered with a simple idea: one day a year where the whole city comes together. Tracy Connects launched that year in partnership with the Tracy Chamber of Commerce.
In 2025, a group of Tracy residents led by Dr. Young formed The Young Connects, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, to carry that mission forward and grow it beyond a single day.

Through high-impact events, internships, and deep-rooted partnerships, we provide the vital links to career opportunities, education, and services that drive individual and collective success.
